Chris Cornell, frontman of both Soundgarden and Audioslave has died at the age of 52.
According to Brian Bumbery, Cornell’s representative, his death was “sudden and unexpected” and everyone is in shock from the horrible news.
They also went on to say that they would like some privacy at this moment in time to let the news sink in whilst they work with medical examiners to find out the cause of death.
Reports have so far have stated that he was found in his hotel room bathroom unconscious, there have been rumours of suicide, but we’re not the tabloids, so we’re not going to take anything seriously until we have an official statement from those close to him.

Rather than speculate, let us enjoy the wonderful music he left behind.
Cornell was on tour at the time of his death with his band Soundgarden – even performing at Detroit on the night of his death (pictured below). The group also had a 7th album due to be released later this year.
Rest in peace, Chris, may you be singing with the gods of rock n roll! Now, there’s nothing left to say but goodbye.
